Obesity & Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric surgery is sometimes a last resort to ensure the health, and sometimes the life, of severely obese individuals.
Our program addresses the extreme circumstances that can result in the decision to have this invasive procedure. Bariatric surgery can cost anywhere from $25,000, up to $100,000 if complications are involved,4 so it's important to ensure the surgery success rate for our health care system's well-being. We understand this, as well as the related pre- and post-surgery challenges that face overweight and obese individuals.
Patients must pass insurance requirements to demonstrate their severe condition. The program serves as a screening to reduce the amount of inappropriate surgeries, as well as identify appropriate candidates that would benefit.
Our program can be utilized not only as a pre-requisite for bariatric surgery, but is also employed for post surgery monitoring to ensure patients are following physician directed post surgery care plans—as well as following recommended lifestyle adjustments to reduce surgery complications and hospital readmissions.
